IMPORTANT EVENTS IN APRIL

Monday, April 1 – Nominations will be held for new officers for 2013-14 for the Aerie and Ladies Auxiliary.  Elections will be held in May, and new officers will be installed in June.  Consider becoming an officer and become actively involved in the Redmond Eagles!

Sunday, April 14 – Come and lend a helping hand with the Annual Spring Cleanup of the club.  Many hands will make the work go quickly and will add a welcome sparkle to our surroundings.  Look for the sign up sheet on the front window case and sign up now!

Monday, April 15 -  The State Aerie President and State Madam President of the Ladies Auxiliary will visit the Redmond Eagles.  Come and meet and greet them at a special dinner at 5:30 p.m.  Lasagna, caesar salad and dessert will be served for $6.00 per person.  All members are invited to attend the meetings with the presidents at 7:00 (Auxiliary) and 7:30 (Aerie).

MORE EVENTS IN APRIL
Friday, April 19 – “Fill Your Wine Cellar and Fix the Roof Party” – The first event of its kind at the Redmond Eagles – don’t miss it!  All you have to do is bring a bottle of your favorite wine and buy a $5 ticket to enter the drawing to win ALL the wine collected!  The cash will go directly to the ROOF FUND!  Clever, eh!  Let’s set a goal of 100 bottles and raise $500 for the fund!  You can start bringing in your bottles of wine on April 1.
Monday, April 29, 7 p.m. -   Plan to participate in the Joint Meeting of the Aerie and Ladies Auxiliary.  We’ll be making plans for the annual picnic on July 13, for Thanksgiving and for other events during the year, especially fund raising activities!  Come and contribute your ideas!

UPDATE ON RAISING FUNDS FOR THE ROOF
A big thanks to everyone who has come down every Friday to support our fundraising efforts!  We now have $1,068.50 in the fund thanks to your help!  All funds collected go directly to a special savings account.  This money will not be used for any other purpose.  We had more lucky 50-50 winners in March including Rob Calhoun and 2-time winner Kia Molavi.  Be sure to buy your ticket by 7 pm on Friday for the drawing at 7:30 pm.  YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!  Come on down, enjoy a Friday night at the Eagles, buy a 50-50 ticket and maybe you’ll be a winner too!   Please note that any personal donations are tax deductible since the Fraternal Order of Eagles is a non-profit organization.  Our American Income Life Insurance Company representative, Amanda McDonald, recently made a generous donation – thank you Amanda!

REDMOND EAGLES BLOG
In March we announced that the Redmond Eagles now has a Blog, However, unfortunately, yours truly reported the wrong address.  I’m sorry about the error.  Some of you might have figured out that the address should have included our Aerie number as 3324, not 3325. The complete, correct address is http://redmondeagles3324.blogspot.com    Please use the Blog instead of email so you can access the newsletter and other news items anytime.  PLEASE NOTE:  Let us know if you still prefer to have the newsletter mailed to you.  We would like to be able to mail the newsletter only to people who want it mailed.  We can cut down on printing and mailing expenses if we know who doesn’t want to have the newsletter mailed to them.  Questions?  Contact Ruby at 425-889-0130, or Cece at jimncece@yahoo.com, or Ritzy, our Blog expert, at ritzythings@gmail.com or 425-868-2423, or leave a note in the newsletter box.  Thanks for your help!

LADIES AUXILIARY MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
A special membership drive is being held from April 1 to May 15.  New members will be enrolled for $30 for the year.  Invite your family and friends to join now!

MORE WINNERS……….AND LOSERS
Cari Omstead won the Bingo Jackpot of $210 on Sunday, March 17.  Must have been the luck of the Irish!  Also, Sharon Gottschalk and Carole Browning won the Ladies Auxiliary attendance pots in March.  The big membership pots could have been won by Marla Brown ($150) or Sally Bonillas ($155) if they had been at the meetings. The pot is now up to $160, so Ladies, come to the meetings!
Aerie members, too, could have been winners in March.  Clair Grover could have won $78.25, and Paul Bark could have won $81.00.  The pot continues to grow!

ST. PATRICK’S DAY DINNER A BIG SUCCESS!
