“PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE” STARTS AT HOME

Many thanks from the Aerie to the Travel Club for their generous donation of $1000 to help pay the property taxes and to the Ladies Auxiliary for their help of $1000 in November and again another $1000 in February.  The club couldn’t continue without your wonderful support!  Thanks very much!

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELPING HANDS

A big “way to go” to all who helped clean the club on April 14!  We all appreciate your hard work and efforts to keep the property looking sharp!

THINGS ARE POPPIN’ AT THE EAGLES!

Thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary, we now have a brand new popcorn machine!  The Auxiliary recently purchased the machine for everyone’s enjoyment.  Your donations to help pay for the cost of the popcorn will be appreciated!  Happy munching!

STATE PRESIDENTS’ VISIT A BIG SUCCESS

More thanks to everyone who helped make the visit by the State Aerie President and State Madam President successful.  The lasagna dinner was a big hit, especially topped off with an ice cream sundae!  Thanks, Lena, Monica, Thea and Candy!

THANKS FROM THE COMMUNITY

On behalf of Tent City, St. Jude’s Catholic Church extends a warm thanks to EVERYONE who helped provide a dinner for Tent City residents.  Ladies Auxiliary members donated the meal and all supplies. Vi, Margie, Cece and Aerie member Belle, helped serve the wonderful meat loaf and everything cooked by Lena.  Great teamwork!  Thanks for your generosity, effort, time and caring!

48 BOTTLES OF WINE ON THE WALL, 48 BOTTLES OF WINE…..

And it all belongs to Ken Riley – the big winner of the wine “event” on April 19.  We better not hear any “wine-ing” from him now!  Thanks to all who donated bottles of wine and $$ that all went to the roof fund!  And, we’ve had more 50-50 winners too - Rob Calhoun, Neal Coy, and Susan Brown.  YOU could be the next big winner so come on down on Friday, buy a ticket (or 2 or 3 or more!) and help build up the roof fund!  REMEMBER -YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!

TRAVEL CLUB MEMBERS – TAKE NOTE!!

BINGO ON BREAK

Our good friend and favorite Bingo caller, Buzz Miller, is recovering from recent surgery.  We wish him well and look forward to seeing him back at the club soon!  In the meantime, we don’t have a caller for Bingo, so there won’t be any Bingo games until September.  We hope to see you back at Bingo then!  Have a great summer and be sure to enjoy all the other activities at the Eagles until then…………J
