Don’t forget you
have options on how you can receive your newsletter –
snail mail (USPS),

To receive it via
email, just contact Aerie President Scott Nettleton
“PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE”
There is a very serious need in Redmond.
YOU can help by donating food to the “Pantry Pack” program that provides
food for needy school children, especially homeless children. The Aerie will provide a big, sturdy barrel
and place it at the entrance to the club.
A list of needed items will be posted on the barrel. Please remember to bring donated food when
you come to the club. This is an ongoing
need. Thanks everyone………..
ELECTION AND INSTALLATION OF NEW
OFFICERS
ATTENTION
ALL AERIE & LADIES AUXILIARY MEMBERS – Be sure to contact your
respective presidents regarding upcoming elections on Monday, May 4. If you’re interested in being nominated for
an Aerie position, please complete an application and turn it in by May 1.
INSTALLATION
of new officers will also take place this month on Sunday, May 31 at 2 p.m,
followed by refreshments.
A BIG THANKS TO THESE GOOD GUYS!
To Jim Board who recently fixed the Ladies Auxiliary red utility
cart. It had gotten pretty banged up,
but with his expertise, Jim rebuilt it and made it usable again. Way to go, Jim!
Then in the “we love to eat category,” a big thanks to Joe Andolina
for his very generous donation of fresh cod for the recent fish and chips
night. It was excellent! Our cook, Teri,
hopes to be able to have another Saturday night fish fry during the summer. Let’s all support this idea!
JOINT FUNDRAISING EFFORT BY AERIE &
AUXILIARY
Check out this month’s calendar and note the dates for “Joint” Paddle
Wheel games. This is an effort between
the Aerie and Ladies Auxiliary to raise funds for improvements to the building
interior. It’s another example of the
two groups working together toward a common goal and everyone having fun at the
same time! Come on down and help
support this effort!
CLEAN UP DAY, SATURDAY, MAY 2
Here’s another opportunity to support the club. We need a big turnout and everyone’s help on
Saturday, May 2 at 9 a.m. to spruce up the club inside and outside. Lend a hand and some time and energy! There
will be free coffee and donuts to get you going!
FREE DESSERT AND SPECIAL GIFT FOR ALL
MOTHERS – FRIDAY, MAY 8
Instead of having a Mother’s Day brunch on Mother’s Day, we’re starting
Mother’s Day weekend on Friday, May 8. Enjoy
one of our delicious Friday night dinners, followed by a free dessert and a
special gift for all mothers and grandmothers.
Treat Mom and/or Grandma to a special night out!
LADIES AUXILIARY NEWS
A HUGE
CONGRATULATIONS TO PRESIDENT, CAROLE BROWNING, FOR RECEIVING THE STATE MADAME
PRESIDENT’S SPECIAL PROJECTS AWARD!
The award was presented for Carole’s tireless efforts for the Humane
Society. This is well deserved recognition.
We’re all proud of you, Carole!
ATTENTION ALL
MEMBERS – As noted above, election of new officers will take place on Monday,
May 4. There are critical officers’
positions that need to be filled – Treasurer, Trustee and Inside and Outside
Guards. No prior experience is necessary. We need your participation and
willingness to help maintain the smooth functioning of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Contact President Carole Browning if you are interested.
TRAVEL CLUB UPDATE
REMINDER: Upcoming outing on May 15-17 to Rasar State
Park. There are still 3 spaces
available.
Dates for outings are open in June, August & September. Some suggestions are Eagle Valley in Cle Elum
and KOA Campground in Ellensburg. If
anyone knows of a good place to go, please contact any Travel Club member ASAP
so we can check on availability. The
next meeting is on May 6.
IN MEMORY
Our condolences are extended to Leona Rye and her family on the recent
passing of her husband, Merle Rye. Merle
was a long-time Eagles member and was active in the Redmond Eagles. A celebration of Merle’s life was conducted
on Bainbridge Island on April 11.
